Sharenda Birts took an active interest to learn to hunt in 2019. She was not born into a family of outdoors sportsmen and had to stumble her way through blind attempts of research and inquiries until she was advised to reach out to her local conservation. During her learning adventure, she befriended four other like-minded women that together, created a 501c3 organization, Their focus is to guide educational experiences that promote independence and self-sufficiency, encouraging all women to pursue more adventures outside at free to low cost.

When she is not working her full-time job, she is usually planning to expand her own outdoor and hunting skills. Primarily she hunts whitetail, pheasant, and waterfowl in the states of Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma. She explores her local state parks and conservation area. She represents Savage Arms as a brand ambassador, a panelist on The Reloading Podcast YouTube channel, a board member with her local Pheasants Forever local chapter, and mentors and volunteers her time with several conservation organizations within the surrounding states of Kansas and Missouri. She also encourages her family and friends to join her outdoors or introduces them to wild game family-style meals. If she is not actively hunting or learning, she will take her portable outdoor coffee bar, make a pour-over cup of coffee, and take a moment to enjoy nature without an agenda. Most importantly, she encourages women that it is never too late to explore the outdoors.
