Amazing Performance At Affordable Prices

Kevin Reese

I am an avid outdoorsman and freelance outdoor writer, photographer, columnist and editor. I spend a lot of time outdoors, usually with a bow in my hand and Alpen binoculars around my neck. As an avid hunter, premium optics are a top priority in my gear. Alpen optics more than fit that bill whether I’m scanning freshly cut corn fields in Texas, sprawling alfalfa fields in central Montana or the thick timber of the Bitterroot, especially in low light. Alpen Optics are simply the best I’ve used. I consider it an honor and a privilege to represent products that I don’t just love…I trust! The best part is that they leave my blue-collared bowhuntin’ wallet intact!

Andy Cacciatori

Andy Cacciatori is a guy that loves the outdoors from hunting deer to gunning down waterfowl. His main passion is duck and goose hunting that has earned him a spot on Basin Waterfowl Calls Pro Staff, and an FE for Drake Waterfowl. During the off season he gives back to the outdoors volunteering his time for the California Waterfowl Association putting on Dinners and helping out with youth hunting camps teaching duck calling. Andy is happily married to his wife Randi and enjoys his days off with her riding horses and driving her crazy blowing duck and goose calls in the house. During hunting season you can find him in the hills chasing deer to hunting the marshes in the North Grasslands to Pacific North West for Waterfowl.

For Binoculars I use two different pairs, when hunting varmints or big game in wide open country I use the 10X50 Tetons, in more dense areas when I’m bow hunting I like to use the 8X42 493 Mossy Apex’s, not only are these great for hunting four legged critters, but are also great for guys like myself that like to hunt waterfowl. The Tetons work awesome for looking at geese far away when scouting out a field at distances over 500 yards. Both optics bring in good light at dusk & dawn when it’s needed the most. On my rifle I have the 3X9-42 Apex, looking forward for the new line that is coming out. I use the 742 spotting scope, what I like about it is that it’s not too big for my pack, and yet I can still look out on peaks and ridges and still see animals at far away distances.

Alpen products used:
I carry my Alpen Rainier 10X42’s everywhere I go. I find, as I get older, my eyes need the field of view and the crisp image I see with my Alpen’s. I also carry the Teton 10X42 for my hunters to use. Alpens are far superior to the “glass” most hunters bring to the hunt. When the hunt is over I have to make sure they don’t trade their old binoculars for my Alpen’s.

My Alpen 20-60X80 spotting scope is just the tool I need to spot and field judge big bull elk in the fall. I also use it when sighting in hunters’ rifles at the range. Rugged and waterproof, it has not let me down. My Alpen optics perform season after season.

I use a pair of Alpen Apex 10x50 binoculars for all my hunting and scouting.  Before being introduced to Alpen, I used a competitive brand that cost four times more than the Alpen Apex.  There is no question the Alpen provides a clearer and sharper image.
For my Spotting Scope needs, I use a model 725 which is a 15-45x60.  Again, the product is hands down the best you can purchase.

Try them for yourself, especially take a look into a dark setting and get ready to be impressed by the brightness and clarity.  You will be thankful you made the Alpen choice.

For turkey hunting it’s tough to beat the APEX 8x42 binoculars from ALPEN. Their compact enough to carry all day without ever noticing them in your vest … but when you need them the most they’ll be your best friend ever. I also use them when archery hunting for deer. During brush-wolf season I carry the 10x42 TETON just to have a little more power and field of view. Over the years I’ve tried many different optics and could use any of the many different brands out there. But the quality, reliability, clarity, and ease of use of ALPEN optics is just second to none.  So for me … its ALPEN!

ALPEN PRODUCTS I USE:
Apex Model 4047 6-24X50 Rifle Scope: The clear optics and repeatable mechanisms meet the demands of shooting prairie dogs at 200-1000 yards
Model 788 20-60X80 Spotting Scope: At the range I shoot at 200-600 yards. This scope is better at seeing bullet holes in the target than my other scopes costing much more
Model 711 20x50 Spotting Scope: Absolutely the best scope on the market for seeing holes in the target when shooting pistols at 25 and 50 yards. Plus, it mounts easily to my range box.

I have been training gun dogs for thirty years my knowledge of the sport of wing shooting is quite extensive. I believe in order for our sport to continue we as professionals have an obligation to pass on our experience and mentor new people into the outdoor sports. Taking this thought into mind and practice I have combined my Pro Staff positions with several top manufactures into my seminars and presentations many of which are donated to groups such as California Department of Fish and Game’s Advanced Hunters Education, Ducks Unlimited, Quail Unlimited and the National Wild Turkey Federation. Helping others in conservation and preservation of our hunting heritage is of foremost concern to me. I am a Patron Life Member of the National Rifle Association and serve as President of California Wheelin’ Sportsmen (helping those with disabilities get outdoors). I have been involved with training dogs for those with disabilities for mobility assistance and for physical therapy and believe I am one of the first to train for “dual duty” as service dog and hunting dog. I am also very involved with the sporting dog rescue program helping re-home dogs into caring and hunting homes. Obviously much of my time is spent “giving back to our sport and our community”.

My guide and outfitter service employs several of the Alpen products including the Apex 10 X 42  binos, the 735 Spotting Scope and the Kodiak 4-12 X 40 AO Rifle Scope.  Please visit www.brycemann.com

GARYMASON_image09

Garry Mason

Garry Mason grew up in Buchanan TN, a small, rural community in West Tennessee where hunting and fishing was as much a way of life as it was an outdoor recreation. Loving nature and all that it encompasses, Garry spent as much time as possible in the woodlands and waterways that comprise the lower Tennessee and Cumberland valleys including the waters of Kentucky Lake.
After High school, Garry married his high school sweetheart, Cindy, and settled down to working in a factory, all the while building a name for himself in the outdoor world as a part time professional hunting and fishing Guide.
1991 brought about allot of changes to the Paris TN area with several plant closings, one of which was the factory that Garry had worked at for 16 plus years. Without a career to fall back on, Garry decided to pursue the career of becoming a full time professional guide. Traveling and guiding in several other states besides Tennessee, Garry soon became one of the most respected Professional Guides in America. Waterfowl hunting and wing shooting as well as Crappie, Bass, and Bluegill fishing where his passions. Soon, outdoors news media people such as outdoor writers and television hosts from across America began to use Garry for articles and TV shows. Garry has been featured in almost every Outdoors Magazine in American including the past 16 issues of Crappie World Magazine. Having gotten to know many other well known outdoorsmen in his travels, Garry saw a need for some type of award ceremony for those men and woman who had helped to blaze trails and set guidelines and standards in the outdoors industry in which he and others had devoted so much of their lives to, therefore giving birth to The Legends of the Outdoors National Hall of Fame in 2002 with Garry as the Founder.
Each year a new class of Hall of Fame members are inducted into the Legends of the Outdoors national Hall of Fame with Garry as the Host and Coordinator of the event.
Garry's unselfish contribution to the outdoors industry will be felt and heard all over this great country, He has the unique gift of being able to make others look great and all of the while bringing the whole outdoors industry closer together for a common cause. Awarding the achievements of all who have helped to build an industry.
Garry Mason is truly a great American

I use several Alpen products including the Apex 8 x 32 and the 8 x 42. I also love my Apex 3.5 - 10 x 50. The clarity and durability allow me to trust them wherever I go. I've taken them on hunting trips from Arkansas to Ohio, and several states between and beyond. In warm climates and cold, I know that I'll never have to be concerned about their reliability.

Love to use my APEX 10x42 for Bow hunting and Turkey hunting they are so light and compact that they don't get in the way - and man are they clear!  For more wide open spaces, like predator hunting or long distance scouting, I take along my 10x42 Rainier and 735 Spotting Scope kit.  What an awesome combo for a super clear view of game from afar.  I use the 4045 Apex Scope on my Predator Rifle - a great compliment to any gun.  What great Sport Optics, Alpen is Awesome.

I use the Alpen Rainier binoculars as they have great glass and are super clear! They are the best binocs for the money out there. The Teton and Apex are fantastic binocs for the price conscious hunter. I also like the Apex 4-16x50 rifle scope. Once more great optics for the money. Hunters that want quality for a great price Apex fits the ticket.

The brightness, the clarity and the engineering of Alpen optics are way beyond what you’d expect for the price. The Alpen products I use:
#4030 3-9x42 Apex Rifle Scope – equal to or superior to scopes at much higher prices.
#496 Apex 8.5 x 50 Binoculars – bright, clear, well-engineered, and great eye-relief for eyeglass wearers.
#119 10x32 Monocular – great pocket-sized optic for kitchen window viewing of wildlife.

Scott-Statts

Scott Staats

When I’m hunting I want a pair of binoculars handy but don’t want something heavy hanging around my neck. My choice is Alpen’s Shasta Ridge 8x26 binoculars. These lightweight optics sacrifice nothing in quality. They are fully waterproof, which is important when hunting in rain or snow conditions.

A good riflescope is another mandatory piece of hunting equipment. Alpen’s new Apex 4037 is my top choice. I like the Fast Focus feature and the 4-inch eye relief, which allows for fast target acquisition.

Scott has hunted deer, elk, antelope, turkeys and waterfowl all over the West. He currently lives in Prineville, Oregon where he is a full-time outdoor writer.

Keith Wahlig

Keith has been calling in them ol’ toms most of his life, however he’s been a Pro caller and hunter for the last 25 years winning Grand Nationals, US Open Gobbling Champion, Missouri State Open, Iowa State Open, Southeast Missouri State Open Champion to name a very few. Keith is a very active bow hunter and travels the Midwest as a seminar speaker and has even put a little time in on Knight & Hale Ultimate Hunting Outdoor Show. Alpen is proud to have Keith as an important part of our Alpen’s Team Pro Hunting Staff!
