Name Spotting Scope Compact Digital Camera Adapter Model Number 708 Extended Description WARNING: It has been determined the #708 camera adapter will hit the prism housing of our spotting scope model #786 (with straight eye piece design) and will not fit properly. The only way this camera adapter can be used on model #786 is to attach it to the magnification change ring and not the eye piece barrel next to the body.  The user must set the magnification to 20x (lowest magnification) and then attach the camera adapter to the eyepiece so it will not hit the prism housing part of the body. You can use your camera to change the magnification if desired but it is recommended to use the lowest magnifications possible in order to obtain a good image. We apologize for this situation.  An alternative is to use our model #706 tripod mounted camera adapter instead which does not have this problem. Please feel free to contact us at 877-987-8370 or info@alpenoptics.com.
